Naoshima Ryokan Roka is absolutely stunning! The room was incredibly spacious with tatami mats and a perfect open-air bath. Our meals, especially the kaiseki dinner, were beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. The staff arranged transportation, making exploring the island easy and enjoyable.
The western breakfast could use some improvement.

For such a price, the rigidity around meal times felt silly!!! Not being able to grab a snack without a shuttle ride is inconvenient!!! Room lighting options could have been better!!!

Super sleek vibes
Staying here felt so posh! The private bath was a highlight, super relaxing after a day exploring. The breakfast at the lounge area was delicious, especially the pastries. Just a bit bummed that the shuttle service wasn’t around all the time, which made getting around a lil tricky sometimes.
